ROGER COLE: Why is there a need for rapid reaction forces and EU battlegroups that will go far beyond the borders of the EU? Why does the Lisbon Treaty include an EU armaments agency to bolster the European defence industries and require Ireland to “progressively improve” its defence capabilities?
Are we not entitled to believe the EU is being militarised, and that Ireland should have no part in it?
The Lisbon Treaty’s defence agency will boost arms production and arms sales, aggravating conflicts around the world, and, no doubt, in the pursuit of profit, distorting the EU’s common foreign and security policy.
The Lisbon Treaty establishes a new EU superior to its member states. It replaces the rotation of the presidency with a permanent one. It establishes an EU minister of foreign affairs with an EU diplomatic corps. It commits the EU states to increase their military capabilities, formalises the EU battlegroups and expands their tasks to include supporting “third countries in combating terrorism in their territories”.
If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck and walks like a duck, it’s a duck. The EU is becoming a militarised super-state, and it appears from the above that you not only clearly agree that the EU’s military should be used, but that it be used without even a UN mandate.
Ben Tonra disingenuously states: "... our rights in the EU are unassailable. Nothing in the Lisbon Treaty can require the Irish Government to go to war, to spend more on defence, to participate in any military action, to join a military alliance. Nor does the treaty allow other member states to act in our name." [emphasis mine]
Isn't the Lisbon Treaty deviously designed to alter, without the consent or vote of the people, anything, at any time, the elitists elect among their closeted selves in Brussels, Berlin and Rome? Isn't this the alarm Declan Ganley sounds? Warning: "With just intergovernmental agreement, with no need of going back to the citizens anywhere, they can make any change to this constitutional document, adding any new powers, without having to revisit an electorate anywhere."
Doesn't the Lisbon Treaty empower a virtual dictator and sidekick in Europe's theater, ready to storm the world stage in a new crusade to enforce peace through strength, Pax Romana, obedient to the oracles of their Pontifex Maximus?

Christian Zionist 'Feast' to Draw Tens of Thousands to Jerusalem (IsraelNN.com) An annual Christian event during the week-long Sukkot holiday, which starts Friday night, is being promoted heavily as an international gathering bringing fervent supporters of Israel to Jerusalem. As in previous years, the festival has raised concerns among anti-missionary activists.
I am a Bible-believer, a Christian-Zionist (one who believes the Prophets foretold the restoration of Jews first of all 12 Tribes of Israel to the Promised Land of Israel before the end of this world as we know it). I am not a Protestant or a "Jew for Jesus" and certainly not a member of the Roman Catholic Cult. I am a baptized member of the Sabbath-keeping Church of God and Herbert W. Armstrong taught us to keep the Festival of Tabbernacles before it became so popular. The Worldwide Church of God members were pioneers.
Unlike many of the Evangelical Christians attending Sukkot (Tabernacles in Hebrew) in Jerusalem, we kept the biblical Feast of Tabernacles (and all of the biblical festivals and holy days) out of loving obedience to our Great Creator God, the God of the Bible, the God of Israel, not merely to show solidarity with the Jews.
Independent columnist asks "Where is the media outrage over Gaza?"
Yasmin Alibhai-Brown, a columnist for the UK's Independent, regularly features on HonestReporting and its UK affiliate due to her propensity to describe Israel as a "racist" and "apartheid" state. In her latest anti-Israel screed, Alibhai-Brown rails against Israel's closure of Gaza:
It is a siege without mercy, locking people into a prison, most of whom have not been convicted of any crime except that of being Palestinian. I am not defending the militants who attack Israel; what they do is extreme provocation. But even that cannot excuse Israel's actions. Neither United Nations food aid nor European Union medical supplies are allowed through. Fishermen are gunned down, power cuts mean industries have shut down.
Contrary to Alibhai-Brown's accusations, food aid and medical supplies have been allowed into Gaza and crossing points have only been shut due to persistent Palestinian rocket attacks. As recently as today (Nov. 24), the Gaza crossings have been reopened for supplies.
Contrary to Alibhai-Brown's charge regarding power cuts, even the Palestinian Authority has accused Hamas of staging the latest blackouts in the Gaza Strip in a bid to win sympathy and incite the Palestinian public against Israel and the PA.
The charge that Israel "guns down" Palestinian fisherman is extremely serious and without any basis and goes beyond previous unsubstantiated allegations made against the Israeli navy.
Despite the fact that HonestReporting has monitored many column inches of coverage and comment on the Gaza situation in the media, Alibhai-Brown disgracefully compares it to the very real crisis in Mugabe's Zimbabwe and asks:
where is the outrage in the media? I have scoured the newspapers, and there is nothing. Israel can get away with anything it chooses to do. So low are expectations of this democracy that such a state-made humanitarian disaster is not even news.
Alibhai-Brown then goes on to attack the right of British Jewish institutions to defend and support Israel, describing it as "propaganda to justify the unjustifiable." She even criticizes the Jewish Chronicle newspaper for becoming "hardline" under its new editor Stephen Pollard, despite the fact that Pollard only started the job today! (Nov. 24)
Pro-Israel and Jewish organizations, including HonestReporting have just as much right to carry out their activities as those organizations and columnists such as Yasmin Alibhai-Brown who resort to demonizing Israel at every opportunity while accusing Israel's supporters of "stifling debate".
Alibhai-Brown aptly demonstrates this demonization in her concluding paragraph, where a parable with the horror of the Nazi Holocaust is impossible to ignore:
Evil happens when the world says and does nothing. That a Jewish state expects no condemnation of the evil it perpetrates shows that nothing is learnt from history.

Sadness does not fully convey the emotion I have experienced in recent days. As a patriotic citizen of the United States of America, one who has experienced the blessings showered upon this nation, I have seen the blessings our citizens have received since the founding of this country, seemingly evaporating before my eyes.
We see war upon the heels of war; economic disaster, as the fruits of greed and avarice come to maturity. And the sufferings multiply. Yet, the response of our national government, along with state, county and city governments is remarkably inadequate, often simplistic, misdirected and wastefully ineffective.
Unemployment soars! Production and sales plummet! Well-established businesses – large and small – close. Uncertainty and panic have gripped many in our country. People looking for the silver lining find it tarnished and devalued. With it, the confidence of a nation is shattered.
Looking to our congressional leaders has proved fruitless, as the legislative process has degenerated into petty bickering and infantile rants along party lines.
So, what is a person to do, here or in some other country, while watching all of this play out on the world stage? We can sink into depression and despair, or we can go to the only real source of hope and encouragement for consolation, comfort and confidence. What is that source? The Bible! Now, some will deride this notion. Others will just continue to be bewildered and befuddled about the great issues of our time.
We should not be taken by surprise by these disheartening developments. Anciently, God told His people that if they obeyed His Commandments that He would give them incredible physical blessings. But, in an ominous warning, He also said this in Leviticus 26:14-17: “But if you do not obey Me, and do not observe all these commandments, and if you despise My statutes, or if your soul abhors My judgments, so that you do not perform all My commandments, but break My covenant, I also will do this to you: I will even appoint terror over you, wasting disease and fever which shall consume the eyes and cause sorrow of heart. And you shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.
I will set My face against you, and you shall be defeated by your enemies. Those who hate you shall reign over you, and you shall flee when no one pursues you.”
And then He said, “I will break the pride of your power…” (v.19). It is a dull person, one who is particularly unaware of what is happening in the world today, that cannot see that this prophecy is now coming to pass with pinpoint accuracy in the United States of America and to a large extent in the other English-speaking nations.
Our economic, military and moral presence as the only real superpower in the world has been diminished dramatically in recent years and the decline is rapidly accelerating. Our enemies on the world scene openly ridicule us with impunity.
What, then, can a person do on an individual level in this sad state of affairs? We can pray for our leaders, as admonished by the Apostle Paul in 1 Timothy 2:1-3. Certainly we should also make some provision for emergency situations, but, long term, we must rely on God to straighten out all of this. We can have confidence, real hope, that God will protect His people upon whom the end of the ages has come. That’s right; the Bible addresses the issue of personal protection for those seeking God’s will and His Kingdom.
So, while we see our beloved nation in decline with its power being broken, we can do our part to be good examples by putting His ways into practice now, all the while looking forward to the coming Kingdom of God which is the only genuine answer to the problems of mankind. God speed that day.
Last week, our synagogue in Beit Shemesh made its annual High Holy Day week visit to the Temple Mount. We began the tradition six years ago when the site was reopened to non-Muslims. During the first three years following the start of the September 2000 war launched against Israel by the Palestinian Authority, Hamas and Hizbullah, the government decided to reward Arab terror by barring all non-Muslims from even setting foot on the Temple Mount.

I was unjustly deported from Israel for highlighting the plight of the Temple Mount suffering under Nazi-Muslim occupation in an article published in Jerusalem.
A House of Prayer For All Peoples? Jewish guards prevent Christians and Jews from exercising their religious right to pray on the Temple Mount? That's right! Only Muslims have unlimited access to Judaism's most holy site. Only the Koran is permitted within. The Tanach (Jewish Scripture, known to much of the world as the "Old Testament") and Christian Scriptures (the New Testament) are forbidden. Yet Israel claims to respect the religious rights of all people.
Jews Must Demand Rights to Temple Mount During a 1995 Root and Branch lecture in Jerusalem, Professor Nahum Rakover, author and then Deputy Attorney General of Israel, publicly agreed with me that it isn't illegal for Christians or Jews to pray upon the Temple Mount, even though it is forcibly prevented by the police.
Restore Israeli Sovereignty Over Temple Mount The Wakf, the militant Muslim authority that oversees Jerusalem's Temple Mount, Judaism's holiest site and Islam's alleged third holiest site (following Mecca and Medina) continue to show blatant disregard for Jewish, Christian and biblical history and non-Muslim sensitivities.

Meditating on this holy Day of Atonement, Yom Kippur, recognizing how difficult it is for Sabbath-keeping Christians to overcome sin, to avail ourselves of our great spiritual resources, to receive the pardon and the power to go and sin no more, I thought about how much more difficult it is for non-Christians since many of them don't even acknowledge their sins are sins, as defined by the Bible (1 John 3:4), just like many professing traditional Christians refuse to believe their baptized paganism, their religious ways, are sins (1 John 2:4). How can our nations then be saved from the coming destruction foretold in the Scriptures?
God offers the gift of repentance and our English-speaking nations of White Israelites are rejecting it. It strongly appears then we'll be rejected and become so much refuse, littered among the nations, insisting upon learning the hard way, as usual. The good news is that those individuals who do favorably respond to God's call, who receive the gift of repentance and forgiveness, can be spared from the worst of what's about to be unleashed upon this world.

Robert Mugabe, the horribly selfish and deceitful African dictator, the black racist who has raped Rhodesia and left it as Zimbabwe ruins, hardens his heart against honest questions Christiane Amanpour dared to ask.
White Rhodesians, productive white Zimbabweans, are being hounded off their God-given land by racist black dogs - land that they've diligently worked and effectively managed to the blessing of every Zimbabwean - by both the military and thugs who thrive in the climate of hate against people of white color, especially farmers.
These barbarous acts of injustice are aided and abetted by Mugabe's racist policy of "land reform." It's the Black African version of the same socialist demand to "spread the wealth around" - taking from those who produce and giving it to those who don't - failing to grasp that killing the goose that lays the golden eggs ruins it for everybody. Taking over a farm (often by brutal means), seizing farm equipment, and lacking the knowledge or will to work it leaves the land barren and the country destitute. Such is Zimbabwe under Mugabe!
Dictator Mugabe, drunk on the dregs of socialist poison, slurs that white farmers have a "debt," that "they occupied the land illegally. They seized the land from our people." When Christiane Amanpour attempts to sober him up with facts, noting some "80 percent of that land was acquired after you took office, some of the farmland, and with the very certificates that mean government approval. Why are these people being hounded out of the country? Why are they being... They're being hounded off their land," Mugabe denies it's their land, even though his corrupt government went through the charade of certificates, and then attempts to sanction such ethnic cleansing by exposing the British betrayed their white brethren during Lancaster House discussions: "They knew we had this program of land acquisition and land reform." Ian Smith's book, The Great Betrayal, was appropriately titled.
Black African Dictator Mugabe brands the productive white farmers (whom all Zimbabweans owe a debt) as: "Citizens by colonization, seizing land from the original people, indigenous people of the country." Sounds like the various inter-tribal African conflicts, the different historic tribal wars, the Mfecane, except the superior tribes of white color raised everybody's standard of living, all things considered.
Mugabe professes to be a Christian, but he clearly isn't a Bible-believer. Mugabe goes against the Word and Will of God whose prophets identify Israel in these last days. The birthmarks of fulfilled biblical prophecies include, as the Jerusalem-based Brit Am Israel organization teaches:
According to the Bible ten out of the twelve tribes of Israel split away (1 Kings 12:19), formed their own kingdom of "Israel" (1 Kings 12:20) and were exiled by the Assyrians (2 Kings 17:18). They forget their identity (Hosea 1:9, 7:8; Isaiah 49:21) and became the Lost Ten Tribes. In the future they will re-unite with the Jews (Ezekiel 37; Isaiah 11:13; Jeremiah 3:18) of "Judah", but until then they have a role of their own to fulfill. They were destined to be situated at the continental extremities of the earth such as North America, the British Isles, Scandinavia, the Netherlands, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa (Deuteronomy 33:13; Isaiah 24:16, 26:15, 41:8-9, 49:6), to be the richest (Genesis 27:28, 49:25; Deuteronomy 33:13-16; Hosea 2:8), and most powerful (Numbers 24:8-7; Micah 5:7-9) nations on earth and to control major international strategic bases (Genesis 22:16-17, 24:60). All of these points together with numerous others show that descendants of theLost Ten Tribes can only be found amongst Western Nations, especially the English-speaking ones.
We have an old saying here in America, "Don't complain about farmers with your mouth full." Africa owes white farmers a debt. Mugabe can rail against colonialism but if it weren't for people of white color in Africa, the pioneers and their descendants, all of Africa would still be living in the Stone Age!
Our Great Creator God decreed parts of Africa for white Israelites and it is His good earth, His land to give - not shifting and warring black populations, so-called "indigenous peoples."
Barack Obama states in this purported letter from him on what appears to be White House stationery that he was born at the Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women and Children in Honolulu.
It is not in Germany's mind today, or its present peaceful people, to wage war against us, but that will all change overnight, after a head-on collision with the Islamic leader of a confederation of Muslim states, their mahdi, whetting Europe's appetite for more blood and morphing the EU into THE BEAST. They will destroy all Muslim opposition with a vengeance.
